Can I compost these?

Hello All - can I ask for some advice on composting please?

I'm about to prune my Laurel hedge, this produces a lot of clippings that I'd really like to compost rather than just dispose of in the garden waste bin. I know that Laurel is quite toxic but is this likely to cause any issues after it's been well composted?

Another plant I'd like advice on is sunflowers - I've read that they produce a chemical that can suppress plant growth around them, so again - is it sensible to dispose of them or can I compost the leaves and stems?

Any ideas would be most welcome!
Regards, Tim.

I agree - that would be the biggest problem with them.

I wouldn't worry about the sunflowers. I've never had any problem regarding composting those.  :)
