Plant ID please long flowering yellow with pods

This plant has been a real winner through the first part of the year but now I’m left with pods and it’s covering other plants so I’d like to cut back but don’t know what it is! Any suggestions please?

    Wallflower.  :)
You can collect seed if you want to propagate it.
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...

But not yet,  you can’t use them while they are still green.  They have to ripen on the plant, brittle and brown and ready to easily pop.
Unless I’m mistaken and they can be used green?
