Salix Flamingo

I recently bought two salix flamingo trees but cannot put them in the ground yet as I am waiting for lawn to be laid I was advised to keep them in a bucket of water is this ok

    Not really - you'll drown the roots if it's more than a day or so.
    Are they bare-root tree or in pots?
    If they're in pots, just water the pots.
    If they are bare root trees, temporarily plant them in the garden somewhere sheltered until you're ready to plant them and keep the ground around them moist

  • Thankyou for your reply they have been in the buckets for a few days I will get them moved asap should I water well when I move them

    If you're planting them in the ground, then plant them somewhere out of direct sun and give them a good watering once you've done that.
    They'll be fine there until you're ready to plant them out - but keep them watered in the meantime
