Strange Foxglove

I grew this most peculiar foxglove last year. I took seeds (surprisingly there were quite a few haha) but would anyone know if this would grow back the same again? And does anyone know what the heck caused this?? 🤪

Such a strange find! I believe it’s a fasciated foxglove — someone more expert will come along I hope to answer about whether new plants will come out the same

Thanks for your feedback @Athelas and @Fairygirl. Interestingly, from one of the links, it is not very likely that this fascination will recur in the same plant (particularly if it was caused by some physical damage) - which I’m rather glad about because it actually gave me the creeps!!
