Snail eaten my carrot shoots

I've just seen that all my carrot shoots have been eaten by a large group of snails. The shoots were about an inch in height.
Do I need to replant all the carrots or will they recover and start to grow again?

    I don't know if they will recover but I think not. When we have sown other seeds and the seedlings are attacked we then sow some more in the spaces as I did today with the beetroot.
