Moving a hardy geranium in late May

Hi. I have a large-ish hardy geranium that I would like to divide and move next week (e/o May). It has foliage atm but no flowers.  Am I safe to dig it up and divide it now or will I likely kill it? I'm really hoping not  :)  Thanks!

I think you'll be OK. In my poor soil I get the divided pieces going in pots with most of the leaves cut off

They are mostly very tough, you should be fine, but flowering might be delayed.

water it well before you dig it up and after you replant it. It'll probably be fine. You should take Nut's advice about trimming most of the leaves back though - it helps

Can't see a problem, l would just lift and divide as quickly as you can, so that it hardly knows what has happened. If it was in flower l might be a bit more doubtful, but l think it will be fine  :)
