Rosa ‘Gertrude Jekyll’ newly planted earlier this this year.

I wonder if someone could help me identify the problem with this Rosa ‘Gertrude Jekyll’ planted in a patio container earlier this year. The growth seems to be abnormal I have no idea what's wrong?

Unfortunately, it looks like Rose Rosette Disease which is carried by a tiny mite and is not curable. If you bought the roses from a garden centre you should tell them.

The other thing it could be is damage caused by Glyphosate.

  • Thanks bought online from David Austin. The only thing its been feed with is some Liquid seaweed and the anti- fungal when planted.

If you are sure it's been nowhere near glyphosate then I think you should contact David Austin's and send a photo.
