    I have worked as a Gardener for 24 years. My latest garden is a new build garden on heavy clay.

    yes, my garden. You're looking at the path that goes under the monster beech tree (it's the one in my avatar in it's winter nakedness). It's growing out of what we think was the original barnyard wall - our house is a converted barn. The other side of the tree is, erm, 'rewilded' - not really woodland although the trees are gradually coming up. There's woodland beyond our garden though, the other side of the sheep pasture

    It's harder to tell summer from winter here than in South Africa, so perhaps they don't notice too much ;)
