Tall house plant recommendation please

Can someone recommend a tall house plant that would be happy on the floor in front of north facing patio doors?
I don't mind starting small and I don't fancy anything with leathery leaves like a rubber plant or a cheese plant or a climber.

    You could get a larger sansevieria zeylanica, that’s the only one I can think of atm and it’s probably not tall enough!! I’m having a mind blank

    And it's leathery!. I fancied something with leaves. Would a ficus benjamina manage there?
