I think we should just accept it as a wonder of nature. I have never seen this before so thank you for posting it.
I have worked as a Gardener for 24 years. My latest garden is a new build garden on heavy clay.

Well having voted that I wasn’t a fan, went for a wander in the garden and lo and behold….
maybe it’s something to do with the weather this year, pretty sure I’ve never seen one like it before seeing

Maybe it's the situation on a lonely road that makes it creepy. In the middle of a flowerbed, not so much😊
