What’s up with my salvia?

ShepsideShepside Posts: 2
Can anyone tell me what’s up with my salvia? I’m new to growing them. Bought one that year… kisses and wishes maybe… or love and kisses… can’t remember exactly but I dug it up and over wintered it in a pot so it wouldn’t die. It’s growing back but it has blackened leaf tips… can anyone tell me what I’m doing wrong? Seems to have some strong new growth that isn’t blackened…  Thanks!

If you planted it out without hardening it off, it'll have been caught by a bit of cold weather. Or if it was just put out too soon, when it was too cold. Those are classic signs of new growth being nipped by frost or just low temps   :)

It looks fine though - plenty of new growth, so it's dealt with it well enough. Just keep an eye on it, but it looks as if it's fine now   :)
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

I think it looks fine too, and I agree those discoloured leaves probably got a bit of a chill when they were first starting to open. Nothing to worry about!

Ah it might have been a bit cold for it in the greenhouse as it wasn’t heated! Thank you for the reassurance! :)

Love and kisses /wishes is really quite tender.
