Buddleia

Any ideas why my Buddleia's leaves are curling? I've watered it well as it's growing and I can't see any sign of caterpillars, etc.  Do I need to feed it? Many thanks!

It doesn't look like a buddleia to me.

Any chance of a photo of the whole shrub please @keithcorsby ?
What colour flowers does it have ?

Oh! It's another shrub that I cut back from my inherited overgrown garden!
I thought it was a Buddleia from the flowers from last summer. I will try to identify from Plant Net! Many thanks

Shows us a picture of the whole plant and describe the flowers … we’re usually more accurate from the ID Apps. 😉

Yes - a photo of the whole plant will help. Those apps get it wrong so often it's quite worrying!

The leaves look a bit lilac-ish, and the flowers might look vaguely similar to buddleia (the panicles are shorter and wider/more cone shaped). The perfume of lilac flowers is unmistakeable though, and they're earlier than buddleia (here, anyway).

Shots of the whole plant! Yes the flowers were a light shade of purple but smaller than the usual Buddleia.. They were on shoots that were about 2.5 metres before I cut them down!

Lilacs flower on old wood so you'll probably have to wait a year or two for it to flower again (unlike buddleia which you can cut back as hard as you like and get flowers the same year on the new growth).

Thank you all for your help in correcting me!! I just  googled the leaf curl on my Lilac bush and there are suggestions to use a fungicide because it looks like powdery mildew. Any thoughts and suggestions?
