Chionodoxa plants

owlladyowllady Posts: 15
I have just cleared most of the chionodoxa leaves from a couple of borders and would like to increase the stock for next year. Is it ok to just spread the little seed pods around or should I bury them please? Your advice would be appreciated, thanks. I hope I haven't cleared them too soon!

@owllady Not sure but think it might be years before you have flowers. You could dig one up to see if there are any bulbils. This is certainly the case with Iris Reticulata and I would guess that this would be a quicker process. Can anyone else add?

I leave mine alone and they spread by themselves :) The biggest patch is in a sunny gravelly area, where there is little competition. If you want some in another place you could move some when you first see them in very early spring. If you replant straight away, they won't know they've been moved.
