Drooping lavender after moving

I moved a well established lavender bush in the same soil just a little further up. Less than an hour later it's drooping and not stood up right. Have a killed it or is it just in shock anything I can do?

Thanks

It’s a shock to love any plant when it’s not dormant, especially if it has flowers or lots of new growth. Presuming you kept most of the rootball in tact and in with the soil still on it. Even a dry loving pms t like lavender will need lots of watering, probably daily if it’s hot, until it gets new roots out and then hopefully it will be fine. If it’s got buds or flowers then they will likely struggle this year

If the flowers don't pick up you may need to cut them off. This will give it less work to do.
I have worked as a Gardener for 24 years. My latest garden is a new build garden on heavy clay.
