Apricot fruit loss?!!

Please… does anybody have any ideas about how to encourage my apricot tree to hang on to its fruit? It managed to keep three fruits to ripeness last year. Masses of nascent fruits this year, but every morning sees more of them fallen.
Any ideas gratefully received🤗

I use to lose them to squirrels who will eat them green to get at the kernel.

Mine does the same and I've read it's because of inconsistent watering, normally not enough, so I'd check the soil is moist first as they need plenty of water to make the fruits.
We also loose them to slugs and the last few years wind.

That’s helpful thanks. I blamed the wind in previous years, but this year has been more settled. Must look at regular watering.
