Has anyone successfully used neem oil to treat geum sawfly?

Has anyone successfully used neem oil to treat geum sawfly? Picking them off by hand is killing my back. RHS doesn’t mention it but wondered if it’s worth trying?

It won't harm your plant or birds/bees etc so may be worth a try if you have some.
You'd probably need to apply more than once though

  • I have been using neem mixed with water as an alternative for insecticides over the last year or so . It has kept some of the annual visitors like mealy bugs and some aphids away .It is definitely worth a try and not harmful at all
