Bush Tomatoes

ShepsSheps Posts: 2,236
Having only ever grown cordon tomatoes, some of my supposed cordons are turning out to be the bush variety.

So, how do I go about looking after them, do I leave the side shoots and just let it do its thing?

Ta very much.

Basically ‘yes’   … and once the fruit begin to ripen it can be a good idea to thin out a bit of the foliage just to improve air flow.

If you get particularly tall side shoots you can build a tee pee of canes with string around to tie them to to give support
