Buying Ladybird larvae.

Any recommendations for a supplier, and do they work?
I've just accepted greenfly in the past, and gave them a spray of water to shift most of them. The Blue Tits get the rest.
This year i have a big infestation of black aphids, and if i clear them one day, they are just as bad a couple of days later. I've placed a feeder next to them, but the birds don't seem to be interested. I would let nature take its course, but the ends of branches are being twisted and stunted, and all the leaves are curled up with masses of them inside. The shrub is being badly affected, so i want to try something without using chemicals.

What's to stop the ladybirds flying away?

    Nothing. :)
I understand the larvae have a bigger appetite than the beetle.

I ordered maybe 25 from them last year and they were absolutely microscopic! So much smaller than any I've seen naturally in the garden. I tried to put them on my rose bush but it wasn't easy and I never saw them again. I then tried some adult ladybirds, 2 spots, and they didnt hang around! It was an interesting endeavour but I wouldn't bother again.
