Tomato plants

My tomato plants are coming on nicely but I've noticed at the bottom I have new growth would I be best nipping them off or just leave they are cordon Tom plants. I will try to post photos 😀

    I can't really see what you mean @Teriannemily. Do you mean the little sideshoots that form between the main stem and the leaves? If so, those would be nipped out. If it's just a stem carrying leaves, that's normal   :)

    I took this pic a couple of years ago - exactly for this purpose, as some people are unsure about nipping out sideshoots. You can see the tiny shoot at that junction where I've circled it in red. 
    Is that what you're meaning , or is it just a new stem like the base of the plant in my pic?

    I think what you have is a long/big side shoot, you can nip it out with your nail. 

    If you plant the shoot you can get a new plant 🙂.

    Yes - that's certainly a good way to get a viable extra plant @SherwoodArrow. I did that with one plant last year. 
    Mine are nowhere near that stage yet unfortunately.  :)

    I need to get the other plants in the wee greenhouse hardened off and outside before I can put the toms in there. A bit of juggling  :)
    I've got too many, so I'll have to put a few outdoors. If it's like last summer here, they'll be ok, but I really hope it isn't that hot....

    Looks new,I'll nip them off.I'm trying the quad grows this year.(Due to daughter forgetting to water when I'm away) Seems strange not to water though, but so far looking good. Thanks all for getting back 😀
