What is wrong with my Lobelia ’Starship’?

I have had this lobelia for a number of years, but this year the new growth is coming through either very pale or or the correct dark green.  Can anyone advise what the issue is?
(excuse the photo being on its side this is happening when I upload!!!)

Has it ever had the soil refreshed? How deep is the container?
The photo situation is now so dreadful it's become a real bugbear.
If you keep the pix below about 1MB they usually load ok. Not your fault @Beany1971  :)

@Fairygirl Thankyou. I will try and soil refresh.

Many lobelias like a fair bit of moisture, so it could also be dry, depending on your location and where the plant is sited.
Or it may have had some weather damage to new foliage if you had frosts etc just at the time that growth was emerging.  :)

I have a Starship in a border - it's not as advanced as yours, but leaves are the normal greeny red.
So as @Fairygirl says above, it needs some fresh soil to rejuvenate it.

PS - a larger pot may be an idea too

Yes - I'm not sure they're terribly suited to pot culture @Pete.8.

I gave up on them a long time ago - slug fodder here, and just not worthwhile. A shame, as they're very useful plants   :)
