Standard roses

I have a few standard roses - Bonica, which are about 15 years old. This year they have produced long shoots with a lot of flower buds - but look very leggy.  Should I cut them to maintain ball shape. Some advice would be very welcome. We are experiencing very dry and hot weather here in France

They are covered in buds. I would let them flower then trim them to shape after flowering. They will need extra watering because of the heat.

At least your grass is still green. I live in Dordogne but I'm in UK at the moment, I wonder how my garden is in this heatwave. I do have someone to water though.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
