Deadheading Calycanthus?

Hi, should I be deadheading my Calycanthus?  It's in a large pot and seems to be doing really well.  Thanks for any advice.

    Well ours in the ground is showing no growth at all so forget about dead heading for us.

    Goodness..mid May is very early for Calycanthus to have flowers in UK.
    I never dead headed ours.
