Plant ID!

Hi all!

Anyone recognise this plant? I normally use an app to identify but this one is giving me different results every time! I’d like to cut it down to the ground and let it regrow.

    Looks like a Hebe.  Possibly Hebe Red Edge.
    Wirral. Sandy, free draining soil.

    I think you are spot on! Thank you so much.

    I read mixed reviews on hard pruning them, sadly the one on the end has a huge gap where I’m guessing someone fell into it  :D but each is putting off new shoots towards the base. Do you think I’d have any problems chopping them all down and starting over?

    They often die, if you cut them back too hard. If you are going to do it, i would do it gradually over a few years.
