Yes Weigela....a very old one...it was huge
Buds deep pink.
Flowers open mottled pale pink and white.
I cannot find it..can anyone help with the correct name.

Bristol Ruby flowers are darker, @Ladybird4, more crimson.
I know W. Bristol Ruby..flowers are much darker..almost red.
Mystery one is a delicate baby pink...mottled white...see pic 4.

I suspect Weigela florida Pink Princess is a recent invention.
Flowers are described as Lavender pink.
