Soaker Hose

Hi, im looking to purchase a soaker hose to use along a new hedge. What is the best one to buy? It needs to be 30m in length.

One that is porous along its length and not just a plastic tube with intermittent holes.

I have one of these and it's fine for annual plants such as tomatoes which can coincide with the holes but for a hedge you want the water along the entire root space.   I have that kind in my soft fruit cage for the currants and gooseberries.   The porous types are also, in my experience, easier to wind in and out round plants without kinking.

Check to see that your seep hose has a connector end to join it to a feeder hosepipe and a closed end.   Haven't seen a 30m one here but you could always join 2 x 20m length with a hosepipe connector thingummy.

I agree - I have a 50m soaker hose that sort of sweats out the water - droplets form all over the surface so you get an even watering.
I've had mine 5 years now and very pleased with it.

Is there a brand you recommend?

Mine is Probore Soaker hose from Amazon, but it's no longer available - there are identical looking products

My latest one is Gardena and it's wound round a tomato and cucumbers bed in the polytunnel.   The 25m one I bought a couple of years ago is a top brand here - can't remember which tho - and it's good too but the cheap, generic one I found in a GC that same year has not lasted well and has splits.
