ID this lovely perennial please?

We moved to a new house about six weeks ago and I don’t think this was there to start with, hence I think it is a perennial. It has these 3/4 ft tall flower stems held above the plant.
Can anybody tell me what it is please? Thank you

Not an allium I've ever grown [I think!] but it's very popular.
    Enjoy  :)

It's a bulb, but comes back every spring and bulks up quikly.

Stop bragging 😉 That’s like complaining cos your asparagus is too prolific 🙄

I love it.  When the flowers finish they close and turn upwards till their seeds are ripe enough to shed.  They go a soft caramel beige colour and look like mini Disney fairy castles.

Like any other bulb you need to leave the foliage at least 6 weeks before cutting it back so the leaves can feed the bulbs for next year's display.

I'm glad it's not just me that thinks of fairy castle turrets when I see the seed pods :)
