And bees love them too.  Great plants for late summer.   I had them in pots in Belgium so I could take them under cover for winter but here they stay out all year.

I used to use those bulb baskets for glads,  can lift the whole thing and store for winter.

The pond baskets are good for that too @Lyn

They are @Fairygirl. But much more expensive.   I’m a tight a*se so cheapest will do me.

I don't even use them for the pond @Lyn. I cut holes and slits in ordinary pots!  :D

I don’t use them for the pond either, water lilies just get chucked in.

  • I put them in my flower bed in late March last year. Then we had a May filled with frosts. They started popping up in July and finally flowered at the end of August. Apart from a single freesia, they were the only survivors from a big mixed pack of Wilko bulbs. I left them in over winter as I wanted to try something new but they’ve survived (an usually mild) winter here in Bedfordshire and are growing again.
  • I have a Gladi! Came home from work, doing my usual tour of the acres (😁) and there's a little spear in one of the spots I'd planted them. So happy 😊
