Houseplants?!!

‘Gardens’ are outside spaces…I object to my favourite programme being hijacked by houseplants, it’s on but I’ve muted this weeks programme. Shame on you Gardeners World.

    I turned it off....not interested in an hour programme about houseplants. 
    Based in Sussex, I garden to encourage as many birds to my garden as possible.

    ?It's just indoor gardening for heaven's sake.   Loads of people live in apartments or maisonettes with no garden so houseplants are their only option.  Why begrudge them one show out of the 30 or so we'll get for outdoor gardening.  Houseplants are very important for both mental and physical health as they improve the atmosphere and absorb some chemicals which are harmful to humans.

    Not of interest to me as all my houseplants which can are now outside for their summer hols but they still need care as well as protection from too much sun/wind/rain.

    I loved the programme as I’m disabled and had to give up my beautiful garden I had and now have a tiny 3m by 2m patio which I cram with plants and houseplants are part of my garden too so it was lovely for me.  The spot with Jason and his balcony garden made me smile and in the same way my plants help with my well being. I grow lettuce, herbs and cucumbers which also helps with fresh foods in this rising costs climate! So all houseplants and gardening of all sorts is worth doing.

    The segment on carnivorous plants was interesting. I agree with Obelixx, it's just another aspect of gardening. I'm not really interested in edibles but there's no point getting cross about having to watch Monty and his bloody raspberry canes week in week out... Presumably it's of interest to someone out there!
