Hosta issue

I have white patches just appeared on potted hosta on about 3 leaves. It’s placed in a shady spot, so can’t imagine it’s sun burn. I have placed copper tape around the container to minimise slugs. This is second year for plant, first year no problem, this patches just appeared in recent days. Maybe it needs a fungal spray. Appreciate any ideas and suggestions. Thank you

    Not fungal.

Maybe there was a variegated hosta in its ancestry.

It’s consistent with sunburn. My neighbour has some and they are in complete shade apart from one side of a few of them. They have all (the ones who catch the sun) got those white patches.

I have taken the leaves with the white patches off, see if the patches reappear. Thank you
