Is this blight?

Hi!

Can someone help me identify the issue here? This is on my runner beans' leaves.

Thanks!!

    No it's not blight.
It may be a cold wind has weakened the leaf a bit or it's been knocked about by wind - nothing to worry about

I agree … a bit of weather damage.

Runner beans don’t get blight 😊

  • Oh, that's good to know! I was worried I had killed them 😅

As long as the weather’s not too cold for them they’re pretty resilient.

Which variety are you growing?  I’m growing Moonlight … I’m planting them out this weekend 😊

  • They're White Lady. It's my first time growing anything so it's a bit of a learning curve 😬

I grow White Lady most years.
I only sowed mine 3 days ago.
I plant them out near the end of the month, then they'll get smothered in blackfly, then the ladybirds come to the rescue :)
That's usually the way it goes goes me.

I’ve grown White Lady some years. They’re a lovely bean.

We seem not to get aphids or blackfly on ours … so far … but there’s always a first time 🤞
