Is this a yucca?

Hi, can anyone tell me if this is some sort of Yucca, or something else? Looks similar to a Yucca except it's kept all it's lower leaves. I've inherited this 8ft giant
but have no idea what it is or if it can be split into two.

I'd say Dracaena too.  I had one which had been cut at about a foot high to create new branches from the cut top.  You could do this to yours at whatever height you prefer.  It may be worth repotting your plant too as that pot looks a bit small.
    Wirral. Sandy, free draining soil.
