Hello lovely people. For the second year I have left our front garden to grow as and do as it likes. It was pretty and insect friendly last year and I hope it will be even better this year.
I have a mystery flower though. It is so pretty and I love it but I have searched wild flower id pages and books but can't find a definitive answer as to what it is.
Can anyone help please?

    Thank you Ladybird4. Looking at pictures, I think you are right although this doesn't seem overly mossy at the base as it's described.

    I agree with ladybird 4 .The colloquial name for them is shirt buttons.

    Just had a look at that and I don't think so alexwildliferescue. It looks similar but the petals are different as are the leaves. Very pretty plant too though. Would be happy to have that! Thank you.

    Not Cerastium - the foliage on it is quite noticeably grey  :)
    It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

    Saxifraga granulata...common name meadow saxifrage seems to fit well.
