What wrong with my Acer tree? Is it okay?

Hi all, just look for some advice/diagnosis with my Acer Tree. It looks as though some of the leave are browning/dying and the whole Acer doesn't look great. Please refer to photo

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

That's a lot of Acer for the pot size. It looks like a weather issue, wind, not enough rain, frost etc rather than a disease.

How often have you been watering it, it's been very dry for a long time.
Leaves look like they need water.
    Do you feed it?

Pot size, should be fine. Mine is! Though I'm sure a few sneeky roots have gone out through the bottom.
I do have another almost as big in a pot  that can't toot into soil, green one below.

I’ve maybe not watered if for a few days but we have had spots of rain. I also re-potted it around 3 weeks ago

The problem with terracotta pots is that they absorb moisture, which is why they aren't as good as a glazed one. Wind is every bit as drying as sun - often more so as it affects the foliage directly.
A few spots of rain isn't enough to forego watering either. Rain has to be heavy enough to get through the canopy. You need at least a couple of hours of reasonable rainfall before you can leave watering. Mine haven't been watered for weeks because, apart from last weekend, we haven't had any days without decent rain for a couple of weeks.

I'd say that's a combination of factors there, but it's not disastrous. The purple palmatums are amongst the most tolerant and easiest of Acers  :)

I'm just looking at your photo again - is it undercover?
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...

I had an acer that was affected by Verticillium Wilt that ended up looking like that.
