Cucumber compost

What's the best compost to use for cucumbers in pots? I've heard multi purpose with tomato planter compost mixed in, I've also heard of just pure multi purpose compost and perlite mixed in will work fine.... advice please?

For the last couple of years I have had mine in a multipurpose/well rotted manure mix (about 2:1). Seems to work for me. I add the manure for a bit of oomph as they can be fairly hungry plants and are in the pots for a long time.

The best results I had was when I used a mix of 50% Levingtons rotted farmyard manure, 25% multipurpose compost and 25% home made compost. I used a 22L pot.
I fed it weekly with Miracle Grow fertilizer.
In 2018 I harvested 294 cucumbers (Cucino) from 1 plant - I've not beaten that since

I use multipurpose with about 30 to 40% homemade compost mixed in, the same as I use for tomatoes. Sometimes a bit of soil as well but that's really for bulk and weight rather than nutrition.
