Can anyone help me with markings on beetroot leaves

    Could it be due to water splash?

    It’s a little grub that gets between the layers of the leaf and eats it … can’t remember what it’s called … it loves beetroot and chard and stuff like that … spoils the look of it but not usually a huge problem. You can squish them by squeezing the leaf between finger and thumb. 

    Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
