Just wanted to show off this amaryllis

I got this bulb as a Christmas gift about 14 years ago. I only barely do any of the things you're supposed to do to encourage it to bloom at a particular time, I just put it in a cupboard when I remember. But it still blooms every year.

It has produced a few offshoots that are in separate pots but they haven't shown any signs of flowering. I might plant one of them out in the garden as an experiment next year.

It's beautiful. What a good value plant.

Lovely...the subtle colours are very nice, especially the green in the middle.

It's entirely down to benign neglect. I think I have repotted it once. I might do it again once it dies back so that I can put it in a more attractive pot.
