No flowers on my camelias this year

I didn’t get any flowers on my camelias this year. Having said that, I can’t remember if I got any last year. They’ve got plenty of leaf buds though. Are they just too young or might there be a problem with them?

They make their flower buds in late summer early autumn, so you need to make sure they are well fed and watered from the last week of August to the end of October. Remember to use ericaceous feed.

OK, will do. I put granular ericaceous food on periodically, so I think they’re getting their nutrients. However, I’ll make sure I concentrate on the end of summer time into autumn.
    Thanks

Generous watering in late summer and early autumn as the buds are being formed is even more important than feeding.
