Wild flower ID please

I found this growing in the paddock - does anyone have any idea what it is pkease?

    Possibly pignut, but would be easier to tell if the flower was further on.

    Could be pignut - it's the right time of year :)

    There are one or two more, so will check it when it flowers - we have goats, so I was hoping for an ID so we could remove it quickly if it is poisonous.

    It's classified as edible. The badgers are happy enough to dig mine up to eat the roots!

    I put the cut flower into water and this is how it has developed ... do you still think it is pignut?

    I'm not sure. Possibly wild carrot, as was also suggested above?

    I just took this photo of pignut. It looks similar to yours, but lighter green foliage, less stiff. But this came from long grass, so growing with lots of competition.

    Thank you ... I think that confirms that it is pignut - the 'darker' foliage on mine is due to the ipad and taken in the kitchen rather than in natural light. Mine was picked a week ago when the grass was a little shorter - also, it might have been taller had I left it to grow.
