I do think that seedlings can appear around flowering forget-me-nots
I have worked as a Gardener for 24 years. My latest garden is a new build garden on heavy clay.

Forget-me-nots are in full bloom here, but in some parts of the garden I find what seems to be a different sort of forget-me-not. It does have longer leaves and is a taller, looser, leafier plant, not in flower yet, but has fewer flowers than the usual ones.. Perhaps a wild version?

I pulled up one of the largest seedlings to give a better look at it.

I couldn't smell anything when I crushed the leaves
I’ve no idea what I’m doing.

2 looks like more willowherb to me, maybe one of the smaller kinds (there are lots). If you're not sure, you can leave it until it flowers.
Doncaster, South Yorkshire. Soil type: sandy, well-drained
