Something eating my radishes

I'm a gardening newbie. Could someone help me identify what's eating my radishes?

Thanks!

Could be slugs, snails or woodlice.

The little grey slugs which live in the soil and are rarely visible are the most likely culprits.
The woodlice could take advantage of the damaged root but they are usually happier when munching something which is either already under attack or beginning to decay for other reasons.
On the bright side, nothing stopping you eating the rest of it tho - clean slice along the damaged part, quick rinse and Bob's your Radish ;)
  • Had similar thing but lots of small holes. My radishes ended up tasteless. I just grew them as a filler crop for the slow growing parsnips.
