can anyone tell me what these funny bulbous woodlouse (?) type things are on the stems of my young dog rose? They are stuck firm on the stems. Are they a disease? A pest?

I dug out this rose to find a new home for it. Left it in a wheelbarrow for a day or two and came back to find those.

I often get a few on the stems of my blueberries - I just flick them off with a fingernail - then use a a fingernail brush on your fingernails
