Hi can anyone identify this tree please, don't think it's a cherry blossom!
Thanks

Can you put a better picture up please, preferably a good close up of the foliage and blossom?

I can't manage to turn the pic either, although it still wouldn't be clear enough.
Some close ups, as @Uff says, will help with an ID @prenn :)
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...

It looks very like an apple but, as has been said we need to see a close up of the individual flowers and some leaves please @prenn

Thanks for all the quick replies, I'll get a close up if the flowers and leaves and add it to the post shortly!
  • Most cherry blossom has gone. Definitely not hawthorn which is in full bloom at the moment. Probaly some type of malus (apple).

@alexryzawlskiqBU-X4OF Depends where you are - in my area (central belt of Scotland) hawthorn isn't out yet, and cherry blossom is still going strong! So a location might also help.

But it definitely isn't hawthorn blossom, and doesn't look very much like cherry to me either.  I think it's an apple which has been hard pruned some years ago, put up a lot of water-shoots and now the watershoots are mature enough to blossom, and are doing so enthusiastically.

We'll know when we see a close up of the blossom and leaves.

@Dovefromabove totally agree, was just making the suggestion location affects timing of blossom
