Is it an Umbrella plant/tree? And how do I keep it healthy?

Hi all, i’ve just bought what I think (and told) is an umbrella plant/tree, is this correct? Also, what is the best care for it as it appears to have drooped a touch since getting it home.

Thanks in advance

Yes, Schefflera, umbrella plant is one of its common names. It's pretty standard in terms of its likes and dislikes as a houseplant - water when the compost is dry to about an inch down (th the depth of your first knuckle if you poke your finger in is a good guide), make sure the excess water can drain away, keep it somewhere bright and well-lit but not in direct sun, away from either radiators/fires or cold draughts, and somewhere where it won't get accidentally brushed against by passing pets or people.
The pot looks small for the size of plant, so once it's settled in you might want to put it in a bigger one. I would also rotate it. It looks as if it's been growing towards the light. If you want a more even shape you could prune out that long leaning shoot at the top. You might even be able to root a cutting from it.

I would agree it looks like it has very little to grow in considering it's size.
