Hanging gardens of cucumberlon

I sowed 5 cucumber Carmen in the greenhouse. 4 germinated.
One was completely eaten by slugs.
3 left
This morning, slug damage apparent on all 3. No other plants touched ( and I have 18 tomatoes. plus courgettes etc)
Drastic measures!
So that rats don't get the slug pellets, the pots have been hung in the greenhouse in old latex gloves!

I hope I can save them!

That is an awful lot of pellets. Did you have pellets around the plants when they weren't suspended? Check for snails hiding under the pots or staging. They could be doing the damage as well.
Hope you do manage to save them.

Three or four pellets is more than enough.
    In London. Keen but lazy.

@Penny_Forthem I know very little about cucumbers or slug pellets, but I wanted to congratulate you on an excellent discussion title. Puntastic.
