Re-planting after vine weevil

    Planting something short-term sounds like a good idea. If it thrives, you can be more confident that the area is clear. If some are lurking and kill it, no great loss ;) 

    All the expert advice seems towards it being ok though.

    Keep an eye out for the adult beetles which hide under pots and in dark corners during the day. They come out at night. They are ovoid in shape, grey/brown in colour and move reasonable slowly. They seem very insignificant but boy do the grubs do damage.

  • I pick out the grubs and reuse the soil.
