New Turf Help

Hello, I am new to gardening and do not have much of a clue! I recently got a contractor to put turf in our garden. It was levelled before the turf went down. This was 6 days ago and looked fine. Thank you all so much for the advice.

I have started to water each turf intensely to try revive it a bit. It is strange how some patches have taken and others haven’t. The soil underneath the turf is damp so luckily that’s not dried out.
