Well..I’m not sure however the tree is growing at a rate of knots. Much quicker than I was expecting. There are still a few branch tips that look at little black but it seems to be happy enough. I will try and take a photo.
As promised here are some photos of our Acer. There has been some significant growth since last year and foliage is looking healthy. There still looks to be some damage to some of the branch tips. Does it look normal or like VW?
It's looking great. If it had VW, by now you would probably be seeing leaves dying and turning crispy at random places on branches that seem to be ok.
The branch in the 2nd pic is partly dead - likely due to frost. Cut that off just above that little bud that's about to break. Do the same with any others. Keep an eye out for black bruising along an otherwise healthy stem just in case but atm it's looking good.
