Can anyone identify this plant?

Hi, can anyone help me identify this plant? It has popped up in my garden (only moved in last year so I’m not sure what has been planted here). I’m not sure if it’s a weed or something else?

thanks in advance  :)

Agree. If you have the space it is great for elderflower wine and cordial and then elderberry later in the year. We cut ours right back every3 or 4 years. It can grow big.

Oooh thanks! I thought It may be a weed as it’s grown in the smallest of spaces does anyone know whether they transport easily into a better position? Thanks x

The wild ones can be a weed if it grows where you don't want it. If you want to try moving it, make sure it's well watered beforehand, prepare the new hole and then lift it with as much root as possible. Moving shrubs is always a bit risky though.
Doncaster, South Yorkshire. Soil type: sandy, well-drained
