Don't worry about it. You still have time to sow more.

I'm about to sow a load for work, 40 odd.
Was thinking direct sow, thoughts on that?
Or best stick with pots, although I'll need a few, lol.

I like direct sowing. Less faff, just straight in the ground and that’s it.

I risked sowing them in early April as well, a couple of cold nights a week later but they still made it.

They were fine until I interfered with their position today.  Such a shame.

The variety was Autumn beauty as well. Was looking forward to those.  :s

There are several self-sown ones in my veg patch … they’re about 10” tall already … very sturdy bushy plants …?I’d say go for it and direct sow.

Just keep the area well weeded/hoed to keep slugs and snails at bay.

Do greenhouse ones need to be hardened off? My ones in the greenhouse are 30cm now and was thinking of bringing them outside for a while?

Yes … harden them off by putting them out in a sheltered spot during the day and back indoors before dark for about ten days … then they’ll be tough enough to plant outside providing yourself past the last frost date for your area.

Mine are sown outdoors in pots to keep slugs away. They’ll need to be pricked out tomorrow. I thought you could plant some in clumps. That’s what I was intending to do as I have a lot of seeds and thought it might make a better display that way. So many seeds that I’ll direct sow too even if they get chomped by slugs or taken away by mice.

Hi, so the ones in pots are starting to get some blemishes on the leaves. I repotted about a week ago, mixed JI 2 with mpc.  They are being hardened off as well. Not sure where I went wrong.
