    As well as the good advice above, I think it would be worth while attaching some windbreak material to that fence behind them until they’ve grown sturdy enough to cope with it a bit better. You can buy a sort of hessian roll or scaffold netting would do the job.

    The netting is what's needed up here in very exposed locations - especially in the north and the islands. 
    Worth doing. 
    It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

  • We had the green netting and I still taught it was there but it obviously blew away 😒😅 will get more of it for sure. Just wondering for the cutting back does that mean cut all the leaves nd branches of or cut the stem/stick down?
